WHAT IS CANVAS ARTISTIC LOUNGE?
CANVAS Artistic Lounge is a licensed Paint & Sip Art Studio/Lounge and Event Space owned by both Carla and Karen. Our customers can book a seat in our studio to do a number of events. They can paint freely by choosing an art card to replicate in our studio either at an easel or at our harvest table, take a guided painting workshop (class), sign up with colleges for a Team Building paint session, or attend one of our themed nights such as Glow-in-the-dark paint night with our live DJ. These fun filled events incorporating painting with your beverage of choice! Our inspired artistic studio is 2,000 sq.ft. that can hold up to 40 persons. We also offer studio space rentals, birthday parties and so much more! Come by!
WHERE IS CANVAS LOCATED?
Our address is 3451 Lake Shore Blvd. W. Etobicoke Ontario M8W 1N2. (647) 328-7632 The main intersection is Lake Shore Blvd. & Thirtieth Street, south side. We are right next door to 850 Degrees Pizza. There is ample street parking. Parking is enforced from Monday to Saturday 9:00am – 6:00pm. Parking is FREE after 6:00pm and on Sundays.
At CANVAS Artistic Lounge your experience begins with a canvas, paint and brushes. We add an upbeat soundtrack, fine wine and an awesome instructor. You will leave feeling relaxed and accomplished with your masterpiece.
What is Open Studio?
Open Studio scenario is when you book a seat and paint freely either choosing from one of our 450 art cards to replicate or an abstract image by just using the paint. You can sit at an easel or at the harvest table. In Open Studio, there is no instructor to paint with you, step by step. Although our CANVAS team is here to help you through the painting process by offering suggestions on how to approach and finish the painting. In Open Studio you also have to ability to paint a picture that you bring in with you or simply paint an abstract form. Canvases start at $30.00 +tax,
What is a Guided Workshop (Class)?
A guided workshop is an instructional class scenario. Our resident artist and instructor will take you step-by-step through the painting process. The end result is that the individual or the group replicates the same Artcard. During the workshop, the instructor will share tips, tricks and knowledge on how to create certain effects within the painting. The Guided Workshops usually last approximately 2-2.5 hours in length. Workshop Price is $45.00+tax. There is no minimum number of people to sign up for a workshop. Workshops can be 1 person, up to 40. If you would like to have a workshop with a friend, we can accommodate you!!
How do I register for a Guided Workshop (Class)?
It’s easy to register online! Simply click on the Events page to view our schedule and reserve your spot! A Guided Workshop is a lesson done by our instructor. You can view upcoming workshops on our home page’s Calendar of Events. We can also accommodate custom workshops for any number of guests give us a call, we can schedule your workshop outside of our regular workshop time slots.
What is included in the cost of each session?
The price per seat includes everything you will need to paint. We will provide you with your own paint station, brushes, easel, apron, paint and of course one of our artists to support you through the creative process. Should I make a booking in advance?
Yes we do require booking in advance online or by phone. Check out our Events page to book your spot, select an event, and book online. You can also call us to book (647) 328-7632 and email us firstname.lastname@example.org
What time do I need to arrive for a class?
We recommend arriving 10-15 minutes prior to your class to select your canvas size and get situated. Classes start promptly and you will need a few minutes to get settled.
Can I change the style of the featured painting?
For our guided workshops it is recommended that the group work on the same art image. In our open studio scenario our guests are welcomed to select any of our artistic cards to reproduce.
Can I come alone?
If I come with friends or a group, can we all sit together?
Yes, you can sit together. If you are coming with a group of more then 3 we suggest you include the number of guests when you reserve your spot online. We will seat you all together!
I don’t think I’m creative, can I really do this?
You sure can! We assure you that experience is not necessary. Our skilled artists will help you recreate the painting du jour with you. Even if you’ve never picked up a paint brush before, we feel sure that you’ll be delighted with your results!
What should I wear?
Be comfortable. We provide aprons, but suggest wearing something you wouldn’t mind getting acrylic paint on just in case. If you do get a little paint on you, no worries you can rinse immediately. Our paint is acrylic, non-toxic and water-soluble.
Also available upon request, we provide a plastic bag to put your personal items in so they remain paint free!
What is your cancellation policy?
We have a 24-hour cancellation policy. Cancellations can be made by emailing us at email@example.com. Unfortunately, if you have pre-paid for a booking or class we cannot give refunds or class credit for last-minute cancellations or No Shows.
Please note: Group Bookings of 5 to 18 painters may be cancelled up to 1 week before the scheduled session. Group Bookings of 18 or participants may be cancelled up to 2 weeks of the scheduled session; else wise each seat may incur a $25.00 +tax re-booking fee.
How long is a session?
Our sessions are typically 2.5 +/- hours long. Special event sessions may be longer. Participants are encouraged to come early to check in, grab their apron, get a drink and get ready to have some fun!
What happens if I don’t finish my painting?
We charge a $10.00+tax studio fee per return visit if you would like to perfect your artwork. Our customers can return as many times as they feel necessary.
When does your Calendar of Events come out?
Our inspirational calendar will be posted 2-3 months in advance on our website’s home page. Check us on our social media accounts to keep up-to-date for our events.
Can I purchase food and drink?
Absolutely! We have a light refreshment menu and a great selection of wine and other alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages.
Do I have to clean up after the session?
Your only job is to Paint, Sip and Repeat!, and of course have fun! No clean up required. We have staff to do that for you.
Can I host a private party or function at CANVAS Artistic Lounge?
Yes! Canvas Artistic Lounge offers the perfect atmosphere for your next private event. We can host Private Events any day of the week, at almost any time of the day, for parties of 10-40.

Are children allowed?
Yes children are allowed. Please note our weekend evening events are loud with our live DJ and bands.
Can my party be a “guided workshop” but at any sized canvas?
Yes, your party can be a guided workshop. Workshops are priced at $45.00 +tax. The standard size is 16″x20″. If you choose a smaller size, the price is still $45.00+tax. If you choose a size larger than 16″x20″ the price for those larger sizes are found on our Canvas Menu.
What are Glow-in-the-dark themed nights?
Every Friday night we flood the space with black light and our customers can paint with regular acrylic paint and apply glow in the dark paint over the work, or just paint straight with glow-in-the-dark paint. Now that we are in daylight savings time, we start the lighting around 7:00pm. Our live DJ starts spinning vinyl at 7:oopm until 10:00pm. More great music follows into the evening.
What are Open Mic Matinee’s & Nights?
CANVAS Artistic Lounge hosts a monthly Open Mic Matinee & an Open Mic Night. Sign up and let your musical talent be heard, from singing, to playing an instrument we want to hear your talent! Share it with our community members! Please see our Home Page for dates, time and signup details. We are fully licensed and sell a range of non-alcoholic to alcoholic beverages plus light refreshments. Equipment we supply for the Open Mics are as follows: sound board, full drum kit, (1) guitar amp, PA system, guitar stands and Green Room. We kindly ask that musicians to please bring their own guitars. See you at the Mic!

CANVAS will close the studio early if there are no bookings to paint. The typical time to complete a painting is 2-2.5 hours.
